The Fink Family joined Green Diaper Babies back in 2017. They’ve cloth diapered two beautiful children with us. As you will read, despite the health challenges they’ve faced cloth diapering has continued to be a priority. We admire them and appreciate the many years we’ve had with their family!
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY!
Shaanan is Abba (Hebrew for dad), Dafna is Mom. Ezra is our 5 year old, very tall and smart son. Mira is our 20 month old daughter. She’ll be 2 on July 9th. She is sweet and very good natured. Shaanan runs his own business. He rehabs homes. Dafna was a special education teacher for many years. She also has numerous health issues. A few months prior to becoming pregnant with Ezra, she was ordered to stop working by her neurologist (epilepsy). She currently works with a couple of students from home to assist them with their learning disabilities, executive functioning, and life skills. We have an 11 year old terrier mix dog named Dahli and a 14 year old tortoise named Lucy. We love having dance parties at home and streaming Phish shows.
TELL US ABOUT THE LITTLE ONE WHO’S WEARING CLOTH DIAPERS!
Mira is our deliciously sweet 20 month old daughter. She has been in cloth diapers since we brought her home from the hospital in July of 2021. We’ve always used the services of Green Diaper Babies for our cloth diapering needs. Mira will be starting early intervention services soon for speech, OT, and developmental needs. She will likely be in cloth diapers for awhile still. She isn’t talking yet, so she can’t communicate all of her needs. She started walking at a year though, and loves to play and dance, eat, and snuggle. She is also still breastfeeding, but will have to be weaned shortly because Mom needs to have medical treatments. Ezra, our 5 year old son, wore cloth diapers from 1 month old until 18 months old when he was potty trained. He talked and had most of his milestones by a year old. We also used Green Diaper Babies for his cloth diapering needs.

By 12 months, we’ve found that wearing onesies is essential, or diaper covers are often removed by the child and their clothes get all wet and soiled. I just ordered Mira 3T onesies, because she’s growing out of her 24 month ones. (We have tall kids).

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ACTIVITIES TO DO AS A FAMILY AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE WITH OUR COMMUNITY?
We like to take walks through a sculpture park and trail by our home with the dog. We love family dance parties, streaming Phish shows, and seeing live music. We enjoy delicious meals and family movies/shows together, too. Ezra loves to build and make Lego creations and art projects. Sometimes, the whole family gets involved in the building. We are Jewish and have a lot of holiday and religious celebrations and traditions that we keep as well within our family and extended family
