TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY!
We are a family of five living in Wicker Park. Our oldest daughter Gioia is seven, our son Sam is three and our youngest daughter Lula is six months old. We also have a Black and Tan Coonhound named Joppa who likes to annoy all the neighbors with her barking. Chris is a software sales engineer and Rebecca is an international tax consultant.
AND TELL US ABOUT THE LITTLE ONE WHOSE WEARING CLOTH DIAPERS!
Lula is the spunky readhead of the family. She is very fond of watching her older siblings race around the house and of letting the dog lick carrots and banana off her fingers. Three kids is a lot to handle sometimes, but we cannot imagine life any other way.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN REASONS YOU LIKE BEING A PART OF THE GREEN DIAPER BABIES FAMILY?
All three kids have been cloth diapered, but we washed everything ourselves with the oldest two. When Lula came along, we decided that basic laundry was enough of a hassle with five people in the family. Disposables were not an option for lots of reasons. For one, each of the kids always seemed to have a massive blowout whenever they were in a disposable. Also, I always thought that, if I was a baby, sitting in cotton would be much more comfortable than sitting in paper and chemicals all day. Finally, since we live next to Lake Michigan, it seems that the environmental harm from disposables outweighs the impact of the water used to wash cloth diapers, especially since we use a service which can be more efficient with water usage than home machines. Our Green Diaper service has been such a joy. We have all the benefits of cloth, but none of the laundry and poop!
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ACTIVIES TO DO AS A FAMILY?
Halloween is always big in our house. We also love to travel. Lula came with Mom on a work trip to Madrid when she was two months old. It was a blast. But mostly we just take every day as it comes, and we are very grateful for Green Diaper Babies and all the support services in our life that enable us to focus on our family.
